12 Tips On How To Use Flashcards To Do Great On Any Exam

Documented Testing Builds Exam Confidence.

Flashcards are essential for doing great on your exams.

Typical flashcard systems have two sides:

The process of use is:

2. Read the question side.

2. Remember, or say your answer out loud

4. Look at the answer side to see if your answer is correct.

But there is no independent record of what your answer was.

This causes the fatal flaw of: Relying on your memory to test your memory.

Here’s how we eliminate this fatal flaw.

We add a TEST BOX

Now you can:

1. Display the question and keep the correct answer hidden.

2. Input your answer into the test box.

3. Show the correct answer.

4. Compare the correct answer to your answer.

5. Now you know for sure if your answer was correct, completely wrong, or partially correct.

You can keep testing and retesting until you know your answer is completely correct.

The fatal flaw of two-sided flashcards is eliminated.

Your confidence in your knowledge of the subject is confirmed because your answers have been accurately documented.

Quizlet, Notion, Evernote and all the other flashcard systems do not offer this confidence building service.

Demand an integrated note-taking and flashcard system all in one.

  • Your note-taking system cannot automatically create flashcards from your notes.
  • No standalone flashcard system can be used to take notes.
  • Easier: Every note you take automatically becomes an easy to use, powerful flashcard.
  • Faster: Your flashcards are created immediately in real time as you are taking your notes.
  • Quizlet can’t offer this faster and easier service.

Notion can’t. Evernote can’t. No note taking system or flashcard system can.

Watch this short video so see how we do it.

Demand an AI system that meets these three requirements

  1. Your AI created flashcards can be used to automatically create a course to help you study for any exam.
  2. You are not required to pay extra for it. (Notion charges an additional $96 per year for their AI.)
  3. Your AI saves you time and effort by automatically creating flashcards from your notes. (Quizlet’s AI cannot automatically create flashcards from your notes.)

1. Course Creation:

If you search for how to learn a subject, a method that is recommended is “Teach yourself the subject.” It’s also called ’The Feynman Technique’.

It’s a great idea. But there has never been an app available to help you teach yourself a subject.

That is, until now.

SMPLClassroom, (developed by us) uses your notes/flashcards to automatically create a course to teach yourself any subject.

2. There’s no sense in paying Notion $96 for their AI when you can get better AI for no extra cost and a better flashcard and note taking system from us.

3. Your time is too valuable to waste it copying and pasting your notes (or setting up a csv file) to insert them into a standalone flashcard system like Quizlet or any other flashcard or note-taking system.

Focus Decks Help You Concentrate.

Let’s say you want to concentrate on five different subjects in one exam. Or five different exams.

And you want to work on the most difficult questions in all five areas. But you don’t want to go searching through five different decks to study them.

Simply copy any flashcard or set of flashcards into a separate Focus Deck.

Now you can study the most difficult questions in any subject or group of subjects all at once.

Or maybe you want to take all questions that have dates and put them into a Focus Deck.

Maybe another Focus Deck for names.

Or another for formulas.

You can have as many Focus Decks as you want for any subject or combination of subjects.

Watch this short video to get an idea of our powerful, innovative Focus Decks.

Idea Trees Stimulate Creative Thinking.

Studying can be boring. Reviewing the same information over and over can become exhausting.

We also know:

  • When your imagination is stimulated, you learn faster and easier.
  • When you create something yourself, you’re more involved and get greater satisfaction from your efforts.
  • When your data is organized the way you want it, your studying efforts become more efficient and less difficult.

You can accomplish these goals by using our innovative Idea Tree feature.

Creating your own Idea Tree makes your studying time more interesting.

  • It stimulates your creativity. It helps you become more personally involved in the subject you are studying.
  • We programmed each flashcard to be available for you to build your own Idea Tree in any way that works for you.

Watch this short video on how to use SMPLCards to build your Idea Tree your way.

Personalized Spaced Learning is Important.

In 1972, Sebastian Leitner created the 5-box spaced repetition system.

Box one contains the most difficult questions. Boxes two through five contain the less difficult questions, with box five being the easiest.

  • When you test yourself, the easier questions are shown to you less frequently, the more difficult ones are shown more frequently.
  • The frequency is set by the system.
  • You cannot change it.
  • You cannot select the level of difficulty you want to test.

We don’t set the frequency. We respect your need to learn at your pace, and what you want to review and when you want to review it.
Watch this short video to see how easy it is to set your own frequency and choose what to review.

Encryption

In 1885, Herman Ebbinghaus demonstrated that up to 90% of what you learn can be forgotten within a week. Other studies of his showed that most of what you learned can be completely forgotten within 30 days. He called these facts “The Forgetting Curve.”

Leitner’s five box system is an excellent method for short term memory improvement. For longer term memory the forgetting curve is a concern.

So, we created another innovation:

A Remembering Curve.

The Remembering Curve is a programmed reminder to review your memorizations by attaching a Remembering Curve schedule to a deck.

We start you off with a Remembering Curve of 7 days, then 17, then 30, then 45.

You can adjust your Remembering Curve to any time interval that works for you.

SMPLCards is the only flashcard system that provides a flexible, personalized 5 box system combined with a personalized Remembering Curve schedule.

Require a Dynamic User-Friendly Note Taking App.

Simple note-taking apps can meet simple needs. Your needs are not simple. You need to be able take notes under pressure and to be able study them quickly and effectively.

You need an advanced note-taking app specifically designed for your classroom and study needs. Here’s how we meet your advanced needs in four ways.

The more advanced note-taking apps are difficult to learn because they are designed for power users.

Notion has this problem because Notion is trying to meet every possible corporate need. We aren’t.

We focus on students who want simplicity and power without the corporate baggage.

Corporate power users don’t need to create flashcards in real time and automatically.

Our innovative “Save and Continue” feature is designed for real time note taking under the most stressful circumstances.

Learn How to Memorize Without Flashcards.

Flashcards were invented in the early 1800’s.

Before then people learned how to memorize without flashcards. The first memorization system, the Memory Palace, was developed 2,500 years ago by Simonides of Ceos. Every memorization system is a derivative of the Memory Palace system. None of them use Artificial Intelligence because they are all based on a system that was developed 2,500 years ago.

So, we developed a system that gives you the advantage of Artificial Intelligence.

The better memory training courses cost between $197 to $495. Although they are expensive, they’re a wise investment in your ability to do well on exams and also to remember important info in all other areas of your life.

We offer SMPL. It stands for Simple Memory Programming Language. You use it by filling out a simple form. Then our Artificial Intelligence system will take that content and create a fast and easy way for you to memorize anything and everything without having to use flashcards.

We are including it for free as part of the SMPLCards package. Or you buy it for $597.

Why You Need A Web Clipper.

Whatever subject(s) you are studying, the Internet has info you’ll need and want. You can bookmark the sources. But, bookmarks are not enough. You need more access to the info than just the URL. A Webclipper is your solution.

Standard Flashcard systems like Quizlet, Brainscape, etc don’t provide a webclipper. We do.

An excellent Webclipper will enable you to:

Save the clippig to your note taking app. All the Webclippers meet this requirement. Ours is the only one that can automatically create a flashcard for you.

Without our Webclipper you’ve have to go through the atwaward process of meanually coneverting each clipping to a separate flashcard.

Watch this short video to see what our webclipper can do for you.

Get rewarded for telling your friends about us.

We know we have a great service. We know you will want to recommend it to your friends and family. We reward you for helping us grow by giving you a cash reward for each person who buys our service through your recommendation.

We are the only integrated note-taking/flashcard system that rewards you for telling your friends about us.

You Need a Web Clipper.

Besides textbooks and class lectures, you’re going to need info you find on the Internet. Quizlet, Brainscape and the other standalone flashcard systems, don’t provide a webclipper. We do. Watch this short video to see it in action.
